CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION
15th OCTOBER 2019 | CENTRAL LONDON

NEC Health and Safety Event

The LWSE Conference Team have just spent a fantastic three days hosting the Lone Worker Theatre at The Health and Safety Event at the NEC. With the vast majority of sessions ‘full and standing’ and audiences asking some great questions. We couldn’t be happier!

Expert speakers at this years Lone Worker Theatre covered topics including; legal responsibilities, implementing and embedding lone worker systems, gaining engagement from workers, musculoskeletal considerations for remote workers and mental health and wellbeing concerns.

The panel discussions on Security Risks at Home and Aboard and The Future of Lone Worker Technology really engaged the audiences, who in turn posed testing questions (they’re the kind we like) to our experts. It’s great to see audiences challenging the status quo and getting to grips with lone working issues across security, safety and mental health and wellbeing.

Other highlights over the three days, included a wonderfully thought-provoking presentation from Phil Moore from the London City Mission on the challenges of managing personal safety when workers and volunteers care so much about the job they do that they omit to fully consider their own safety.

And our very own Nicole Vazquez and some of the Worthwhile Training Team delivered an interactive drama-based session on Managing Violence Against Frontline Staff that included some surprising moments that kept the audience on their toes!

This is just a taster of what is to come in our October Conference, so if we have whet your appetite, don’t forget to book your tickets, whilst they are still available.
